I absolutely love designing and am honored to work alongside my clients, vendors, artisans, trade partners, and team members each and every day.
I’m known for my zest of life, heart of service, and my ability to bring fun and excitement into each project I'm privileged to re-envision and design.
I live by my personal mantra: to design a life I don’t need a vacation from.
I am often asked: Michelle, how did you get started in this industry?
Prior to pursuing my interior design career, I came from a business background with 10 years of customer service, management, team building, and project coordination experience. I'm a strategic thinker and a numbers nerd who loves to geek out over spreadsheets. This rare combination of skills and abilities establishes a solid foundation that truly "sets the table" for success on each project.
I've also spent years managing general contractor’s firms. At the beginning of my journey, and as part of an intensive training process, I worked for a year in the field as a crew member, familiarizing myself with the construction industry and gaining invaluable insight. This unique perspective made for a seamless transition into studying interior design and honing the skills of my life-long creative obsession.
I continued along this path for a few more years, refining my abilities as a designer and continuing my education by working as a project manager, supervising trades, vetting new subcontractors, and managing construction projects in the residential sector. You can definitely say that orchestrating all the moving parts and pieces of a project is one of my superpowers!
When I'm not designing beautiful spaces, I serve as an Ambassador for The Know Women, an organization that celebrates high achieving women who lead + collaborate + give back. I’m also a member of The Dames, a community of women running and leading six and seven figure organizations. And I participate in two local mastermind groups, a casual collaborative for interior designers and a second group for women in construction.
I love spending time with my large, close-knit family (many of them entrepreneurs and creative souls), as well as my colleagues and friends. It brings me immense joy to coordinate service projects throughout the year, as well as mentor and help others in the pursuit of their goals and dreams.
I’ve been married to Roger, my all-time favorite human, for 35 years and together we have two grown children, a five-year-old grandson, and ever-growing excitement over our soon-to-arrive granddaughter! I love spending time in the great outdoors (as often as possible on the back of a motorcycle), and also love to experience transformative travel, a variety of music, craft cocktails, and adventures that feed my soul!
