When we first met our client in Carefree Mountain Estates, we learned they’d spent the previous 30 years in Hermosa Beach. And while they agreed

on the overall design direction for their new home, they were unsure how to

achieve their vision. The alure of the Arizona southwest captivated them, yet

they couldn’t visualize their new surroundings because they also wanted to

honor their California roots … and the two styles didn’t quite jive in their

minds.

So what does Cave Creek’s desert landscape have in common with the laid-back, beachy vibe of coastal living?

A beautiful fusion of visual and emotional connectivity.

To align with our clients’ desire for a fresh, new aesthetic, we designed a soft contemporary home with the flavoring of the Arizona Southwest, fusing their fun personalities and carefree lifestyle with intentional pieces and colors to bring it all “home”.

The dining room showcases two prominent pieces of oversized art with colors

found on sandy beaches and in desert landscapes. We then grounded the space with a striking area rug representing varying colors of the ocean to maintain their connection to the water, and summon feelings of serenity and tranquility found on the beach.  

Throughout the home you'll find art that speaks to ranch-style living seamlessly

integrated with specialty furniture featuring organic movement reminiscent of

the ocean’s waves.
